Ross is a 7 month old Australian Shepherd/Australian Cattle dog mix who weighs about 30-35 lbs and will be about 45 lbs full grown. He loves other dogs, loves going on walks, loves treats, loves toys, and loves to be with his person. He is happiest playing with his toys and following his human. Ross is very friendly and has done great meeting people and other dogs when out and about. Ross knows how to sit and lay down. He also knows quiet and listens when told to come pretty well. He’s very smart! He is ALMOST house trained. He will still have the rare accident if his person doesn’t notice him asking to go out but that was maybe once this week - otherwise he’s doing great. He is crate trained. He is great at night in his crate. He will whine when he needs to go out at night. He does bark initially when left during the day but does settle down and relax once left. He does have some herding tendancies which includes nipping at his people’s feet when he’s excited and they are walking around. He also still has a tendency to jump so small children are probably not a good idea for Ross. He is very friendly though! He’d do best in a home with someone active who gave him daily exercise and someone that doesn’t have to leave him alone everyday for a full 8 hour work day without a break since he really likes to be with people. This sweet and lovable girl is Penny. She is a 5 month old Lab mix who weighs 31 lbs but will be about 55 lbs full grown. If you are looking for a dog to bond with your kids, this is your girl! Penny LOVES kids! In her foster home, she has kids and other dogs but definitely prefers the kids. She is a little submissive with the dogs but warms right up to the kids and loves to snuggle and be with them. She would do well with another dog but just takes her time to want to play. Penny would like a home where she has some kids to be with and love. She will do best with a fenced yard and someone who can spend time with her. Penny is crate, leash, and house trained. This sweet boy is Eli. He is an 8 month old Boston Terrier/Basenji mix who weighs 25 lbs but will be about 30 lbs full grown. Eli was found abandoned in a back yard and was very thin. He has since gained weight and is now healthy and ready for his forever home. Eli loves other dogs, big and small. He has not been around cats, or kids but would probably be fine. Eli can be a bit shy at first, but warms up fast and loves to cuddle. Eli loves toys and will throw a rope toy around for himself. He is a pretty funny dog and will keep you laughing. This sweet boy is Archy. He is a 2 year old Australian cattle dog/shepherd mix who weighs 55 - 60 lbs. Archy unfortunately is being rehomed as he is not getting along with the 2 other dogs in his home. He seems to be stressed in the current situation he is in so would likely do best in a home without other dogs. He does well out and about around other dogs but just not in his home. Archy is incredibly smart. He’s completely trained and knows tons of tricks and is always ready to play. He is incredible at catch and will always bring the toy back to your feet. He knows commands by hand or voice and listens extremely well. He is well behaved on walks and his owner has taken him to stores without any problems. He is an exceptional dog. We do believe his ideal home would have a fenced yard with plenty of room to run. He attaches strongly to one person so would do well in a home with just one human. He doesn't need anything more. This sweet girl is Meg. She is a 7 month old Boxer/Boston Terrier mix who weighs 35 lbs but will be about 45-50 lbs full grown. Meg was rescued from an outdoor shelter and is so happy to have AC now! Meg is a super sweet, fun, and playful dog. She is great with other dogs and has done excellent playing in group at daycare. She has been friendly with all people so we think she would do just fine with kids as well. Meg would like a home where she has parents who treat her like family. This sweet boy is Tookie. He is a 9 month old pit bull terrier mix who weighs 45 lbs but will likely be about 55 lbs full grown. Tookie was owner surrendered due to a change in living situation which made it impossible for his owner to keep him. Tookie loves to play! He is a lot of fun. He has a best buddy at the day care he stays at that can match his energy level. Unfortunately, other dogs find his play style a little intimidating so he only has select friends. He would do fine in a home with another dog as long as that dog had a similar energy to him. Tookie would like a home where he has an active owner who would walk or run him daily. This sweet boy is Sampson. He is a 15 month old Coonhound mix who weighs 70 lbs. Sampson was an owner surrender to the rescue because he was accidentally knocking down the 3 year old in his home. He is very friendly and kind and would never hurt a kid on purpose but he is a big boy who can be energetic. He would do fine in a home with kids just better if they are a little older. Sampson loves other dogs and very friendly with people. He is pretty easy-going and very sweet. He would love an owner who kept him active with daily walks and dog playdates. This sweet boy is Roman. He is a 7-8 month old rat terrier mix who weighs 20 lbs and likely about full grown. Roman was surrendered to us when his owner felt they did not have the time for him. Roman loves food and playing with his toys. He is super playful but also loves to nap. Roman is very eager to learn and incredibly smart! He will do just about anything for a treat. He already knows a few basic commands such as sit, paw, and stay. He'd be a great dog to scent work or agility training. Roman would like a home where he has patient/kind owners willing to work with him on his FORCE-FREE training and give him time to adjust to a new place. He will also do best with owners who will take him on a daily walk and provide him with plenty of tug toys. He would love a home where he is the only dog. He would also do well with one bigger dog who would give him space while he settles in but would also loves to play once he's comfortable. Roman is crate, leash, and house trained. He walks well on the leash although not a fan of having it put on. His foster just gives him some treats while she gets the leash on so he knows not to worry. Once on, he loves walks and car rides! When we first got Roman, he was a fear biter so we let him spend the past 4 weeks with a trainer to work with him and evaluate him. He has come a long way and doing well but will still bite in certain circumstances. His trainer will be happy to explain all she has done and what his forever home can continue to do to support his growth. He mainly needs someone who will read his body language and understand when he's nervous and needs a moment. He listens really well when treats are involved but just doesn't like being forced or handled either by being picked up or grabbed by the collar. BELLE is a 1.5 yr old Black Mouth Cur/beagle mix! She is kinda a smaller girl at 40lbs. She is such a sweetheart who lives with multiple other dogs and does well with all of them. Belle loves other dogs, loves people, and would be good with kids! She has not yet been tested with cats. She just wants to be loved on and to play in the yard. This sweet girl is Cosmic. She is a 1 year old Pointer mix who weighs 47 lbs and is full grown. Cosmic was adopted as a puppy but now that her family is having a baby they do not think they have enough time for her. She lives with another dog who she loves. She would also does well with the older children in her home. Cosmic loves to play with other dogs, chase balls, and frisbees. She is good on walks and likes to run. Cosmic is a medium energy dog who enjoys a daily walk, daily playtime, but also knows how to relax and hang out with her people. Cosmic would like a home that understands she is family and won't give her up. Losing a family is hard on a dog so we want to make sure this doesn't happen to her again. Trooper was found with terrible skin loss but now that he has been in a foster home for a month he is happy, healthy, and has a full coat of fur! Trooper is good with dogs, cats, and kids. This sweet boy is Striker. He is a 5 year old pointer/hound mix who weighs 42 lbs. Striker was found by a neighbor when he jumped his fence and ran to another house. The neighbor called the owners who decided they no longer wanted him since they felt they weren't giving him the home he deserved. The neighbor had no problem hanging on to him and reached out to the rescue to help find his forever home. Striker loves to run and play with his dog friends and also loves to chew on a bone. His favorite is to be his human's shadow and follow them wherever they go. He loves going on walks and would be a great dog to take running. Striker would like a home where he has a 6ft fenced yard as he can jump a shorter fence. He would do best in a home in a more rural area as loud noises really scare him such as sirens or horns. This sweet boy is Bruce. He is a 1.5 year old American staffordshire/pit bull terrier mix who weighs 50-55 lbs. Bruce has a lot of personality. He is really funny and is good with other dogs! Bruce is a very playful and affectionate boy. He just loves loves to play but he also loves to snuggle up with his person. He is a pretty high energy player so would need a home with dogs of like energy. He's not great with cats and likes to chase them. Because he is mouthy when he's hyper, we do not think children under 12 would be a good fit for him. Bruce would like a home where he has a fenced yard (6 ft as will jump a short fence). Cleo is a 1 year old 45 lb lab/terrier mix who is ready and hoping for her forever home. She is excellent with all people and all dogs she meets! Her foster home has had many new dogs come and go and she has been excellent with all of them. Cleo is extremely affectionate and she loves to snuggle. This sweet girl is Mitzi. She is a 4 year old Lab/American Staffordshire Terrier mix who weighs 53 lbs. Mitzi was found rescued from a local shelter pregnant. All her babies have found homes so now its her turn. Mitzi loves to play fetch! She also loves getting to run around in the back yard. She is a medium energy dog as she does well hanging around the house but still likes to play and run when she can. She takes time to learn to trust you as she did not have a lot of socializing in her past. She has done well swimming at Water Bark and with the people she's met there and does great with her foster mom. She is good with other dogs but can play a little rough so would need a dog who is k with that. Male dogs seem to be a better fit. This sweet boy is Alexander. He is a 1.5 year old lab/kelpie mix who weighs 50 lbs. Alexander was rescued as a puppy from the shelter. Alexander is a very sweet boy who does great meeting new people. Alexander would like a home where he has a yard to run and play in. He will need a family willing to give him lots of love and affection and playtime. He will need a 6ft fence as he's very athletic and can jump a shorter fence especially because he'd be motivated to do so by other passing dogs. Alexander does live with dogs currently in his foster home but does struggle meeting new dogs. If introduced properly, Alexander is good with other dogs however he gets a little overwhelmed in a large play group of dogs so wouldn't do well at the dog park. Alexander is very reactive on the leash to other dogs but has no problem with people. For this reason, he would do best with an experienced owner. Alexander is house trained. He does not love his crate but he is working on that in his foster home and will need continued work in his forever home. He currently sleeps in his crate and is crated when left. This amazing and handsome boy is Archie. He is a 2 year old very tall but slim 70 lb Shepherd/lab mix. Archie came to us about a year ago after being adopted out as a puppy. He was not socialized and was scared of everyone and everything. After a year of training and working with him, he has become one happy amazing dog. He lives with another dog and does well meeting new people now. Archie loves to play fetch and loves to play with his dog friends. He really loves going on walks and loves attention from people. He is such a sweet boy and has really enjoyed working with the trainer. He can touch, sit, stay, lay, spin, and almost has bow down. Hes really smart and he is very food motivated. Archie would like a home where he has a dog friend to play with, gets to go on walks, and gets to play fetch in the yard. He was let down before but he is an incredibly sweet boy who deserves his forever home. He will need a stockade fence as he's very tall and could easily jump a short fence. Archie is good with other dogs and would love one in his forever home! He really relies on a dog for confidence and comfort so he would not do well without one. She is an active girl who just loves to play! Bella is currently staying at a doggy daycare facility and having fun playing with the dogs in group play with dogs her size. This sweet girl is Shelby. She is a 2 year old, 46 lb pocket pit bull mix. Shelby was found on the side of the highway where she was dumped with her food bowl. Lucky for her, one of the members of our rescue noticed the dog bowl on the side of the road so she pulled over and out came Shelby to greet her. She came out tail wagging with lots of kisses so happy to see someone. She had a couple cuts on her head but she is all fixed up now and ready for her forever home. Shelby loves loves loves people. She just wants to give everyone she meets a big kiss. She is so happy to meet anyone and greets you with a full body wag. Shelby does fine passing dogs and does great playing with them through a fence but she is not good with dogs once they are in her space so she is going to have to be an only dog in her home. She is really great and friendly with people so she'd be good with older kids however since we haven't had her around small children we aren't sure how she'd be. Hope is a very beautiful 3 year old pit bull mix who weighs about 55 -60 lbs. She loves people, going on walks, and going on car rides. She can be pretty chill at home but also has a playful side. You will not meet a sweeter dog that Dolly. She is a 2.5 year old Pit bull mix who weighs 40 lbs. Dolly was found after being dumped in Oklahoma City. She has been in a home for a while since and is just the nicest dog. Dolly loves her person. She is extremely affectionate and loving. She loves to play with toys and chase balls. Dolly has done well with all the adult people she's met but she is nervous so I wouldn't put her in a home with children as they are more loud and energetic than she would like.
